Best Optional Activity to consider if your pocket and time permit
Afternoon: Helicopter flight over the falls.
You can book a flight of different durations, but the most common flight takes about 12 – 13 minutes. You will share the helicopter with a few people if there’s not enough people in your party to fill all the seats. The flight will follow a set route, basically flying an infinity loop (‘8’). That means that no matter what seat you’re in you’ll never be on the wrong side of the helicopter.
The best time for this activity is during golden hour (an hour before sunset), but really any time of day you’ll have brilliant views.
In the early evening you will be picked from Shongwe Lookout Guest Lodge and transferred to an Afrocentric dinner fused with an African Drum show at the “Boma Dinner” with four-course feast begins with a shared starter platter followed by soup from the campfire, a selection of salads and vegetarian dishes, a braai (barbecue) buffet featuring game meats and stews, and an array of desserts and non-stop entertainment culminating in an interactive drumming show combine to make this a “must do” Victoria Falls experience.
