Wonderful experience. You can really appreciate a lot of fauna in the wild. The only problem is the state of the roads, which is awful. Fortunately, Thomas, my guide was… read more an expert driver. Thus, if you have problems with extremely bumpy rides, do not take this tour. Otherwise, I totally recommend taking this eye-opening experience.
February 14, 2023Me and my friends had a 3 day safari in Maasai Mara and thanks to Damaris everything was well planned and organized. We have missed the first day game viewing… read more as we arrived very late at the camp, but the next day we have managed to see most of the big 5 animals. The drivers were really kind and tried their best to make us feel good. I would also definitely recommend the camp we stayed in – Neptune Luxary camp. Thank you Damaris and team for your great support throughout the whole journey!!!
February 13, 2023We haven’t done the safari portion yet, but Paul was an awesome guide taking us around Nairobi. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. We will ask for him again if… read more ever in Nairobi!

The tour went well, early pick up, driving to Amboseli et back the next day. A very knowledgeable guide during the park tour, especially on the different bird species. … read more Little downside was the lack of air conditioning in the van, not for the park tour but the 8 hours drive from and to Nairobi. A bigger downside is the fact that I paid 200 USD more than the price advertised, and never heard back from Perfect Safari when I ask for an explanation. So I can’t recommend booking with them.
February 3, 2023After lots of research I decided to go with Perfect Wilderness for my 7-night luxury safari in Kenya and Tanzania (starting/ending in Nairobi). My guide for Kenya (Nathan) and my… read more guide for Tanzania (Mustafer), were both incredible! Not only were they excellent at navigating the national parks and very knowledgable about the animals and plants, they did a great job making me feel safe and secure the entire time. I also loved the customer service Perfect Wilderness provided leading up to this trip, and I will definitely book when them again!

We had amazing guides – Joel and George, who made the trip so fun and… read more were super knowledgable! We were staying for 2 night in Jambo Lodge, everyone was super friendly, great service and rooms too! We also visited Maasai Village at the end of the trip and got to know their traditions, how they live and had a chance to buy souvenirs. I would recommend Perfect Wilderness to all of my friends who’d come visit Kenya for sure!

January 29, 2023I had a fantastic time hiking Mount Longonot with Perfect Wilderness Tours and Safaris today. Particular thanks to my driver Victor, who provided lots of interesting insights into the places… read more we passed on the way there.
The hike itself was great. We went up and then around the rim. It was a tough hike, but the views were amazing. We also saw some Zebra and Giraffes on the way back down. I would definitely recommend!
Some suggestions for you if you are planning to take this tour:
– A decent level of fitness is required, particularly if you want to do a loop of the rim of the crater (according to my Garmin it was 11km with approx. 800m of elevation, all above 2000m). There are some quite steep, slippery and technical parts, but it is manageable if you take it slow and have a decent level of fitness.
– Make sure you pack enough food and water (I definitely did not), in reusable packaging. There is a shop at the start of the hike where you can buy water and soft drinks, but the bottles from there cannot be taken up the mountain.
– Wear sun protection (again, I forgot to pack mine and learned this lesson the hard way). There is limited shade on the hike, and the heat can increase quite quickly after a chilly start.
– Wear good grippy shoes, ideally hiking boots. I believe you can hire a walking pole at the departure point, but I did not do this so can’t confirm the pricing.

We were attracted to PerfectWilderness as a local company offering an 11-day midrange private safari in Kenya and Tanzania for our family of four for a fraction of the price… read more most other companies were charging. We did not know quite what to expect for a budget price, but it turns out the entire experience was fantastic! We enjoyed excellent communications with the main office (thank you Damaris!), amazing English-speaking guides, a very well-planned itinerary with good lodging and food–and even a phenomenal quick reaction to getting us out of a pickle with a lost passport. Most nights we were staying in beautiful lodges within (or very close to) the national parks with spacious grounds to explore and often animals right on the premises. We can’t say enough about our guides (Mike, Elly and Elias). The bottom lines for a great guide are expertise, experience/intuition, communications skills, and…really solid driving skills. Boy did these gentlemen deliver! They were absolutely expert, very interesting, resourceful, and unconditionally accommodating. We saw over 30 animals (all of the major ones less the elusive leopard), most many times over, and over 30 bird species. And talk about accommodating. Our family includes avid photographers and we had a suitcase full of camera gear with us in the vehicle. We ended up with over 30,000 images and an absolutely gorgeous safari portfolio—largely due to the guides’ abilities to find the animals and their patience in working with us on exactly positioning the vehicle for great shots. By having the entire vehicle (and guide) to ourselves, we were able to move around within the vehicle to obtain the exact images we wanted. The volume of information about the wildlife and their environs our guides provided was remarkable, including fascinating details on the family structure of each species, their habits, and more. An extra bonus for us was knowing that, by going with a local Nairobi company, our money would be staying in Africa rather than going to some large international company. Enjoy the trip of a lifetime for less than half the price with PerfectWilderness.
October 10, 2024We recently returned from a memorable family adventure in Kenya, and our experience with Perfect Wilderness was outstanding. From the moment we touched down in Nairobi to our departure from… read more Diani Beach, every aspect of our trip was meticulously organized. Our journey took us through the breathtaking landscapes of Masai Mara, Amboseli, and Lake Naivasha. The agency also ensured our airport transfers in Nairobi were seamless and arranged our travel to Diani Beach without a hitch. The coordination of our return to Nairobi via a domestic flight was equally smooth, adding to the stress-free experience. A special shoutout to Damaris, who handled our booking. Her prompt responses and attentiveness to our needs made the planning process incredibly easy. We always felt supported and reassured, knowing that we were in capable hands. We also want to extend our gratitude to Chris, our safari driver and guide. His expertise and passion for wildlife were evident, as he made sure we encountered incredible animals, including the Big Four (unfortunately, no rhinos in sight). Chris’s deep knowledge of the wildlife and the culture added a rich layer to our safari, making it a truly unforgettable experience. In summary, our time in Kenya was nothing short of fantastic, thanks to the dedication and professionalism of Perfect Wilderness. We wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone planning a trip to Kenya. Thank you for helping create such wonderful family memories!

I had a wonderful 10-day trip with them in Kenya and Tanzania. My tour was organized according to my wishes, with a mix of shared and private experiences. I visited… read more Nairobi, Maasai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire. My agent, Everlyne, was extremely friendly and attentive when I needed to postpone my trip from 2023 to 2024. She was also very patient in answering all of my inquiries. I had a unique experience staying in a camp tent in the Serengeti, which was surprisingly comfortable with a nice bed, hot water, and a bathroom. I was fortunate to see the Big Five multiple times and witness large groups of wildebeest and zebras that had migrated to the Maasai Mara. Additionally, I visited a local Maasai community and learned about their way of life. I highly recommend my guide, Goodluck, in Tanzania. He not only explained the animals’ behavior but also shared insights about life and culture in his country. He went above and beyond to ensure I had an unforgettable trip. I’m truly happy that I chose this team to take me to East Africa.
September 10, 2024Had the worst experience with this company. We went to Masai Mara with them. Our driver/guide Dan was the meanest Kenyan I have encountered in my 5 months in the… read more country. He doesn’t know how to talk normally to customers, is extra rude and gives sarcastic replies to basic questions. He shouts at customers when they are not even late, and doesn’t do anything/apologise when he himself is late. To top all of this, our Land Cruiser broke down on our way back from Masai Mara. The car was not at all comfortable – the windows didn’t open easily and one of the seats was wobbly. To anyone going to Masai Mara – please don’t travel with this company. Pay $100 more and get a comfortable stay and transport. Don’t ruin your experience with them.
August 10, 2024My wife and I had a perfect day on this one day tour from Nairobi to Mount Longonot and Lake Naivasha and back. From the time I made contact… read more with the company, I’ve had very responsive and clear correspondence from Damaris in the office. On the day of the tour, Charles, our driver picked us up promptly at the designated time and looked after us properly and patiently all day. He was flexible when we asked for a different lunch stop and also a coffee stop. He drove well. The hike upto the rim of Mount Longonot and around the rim is moderately hard but well worth it for the views of the crater and the rift valley. My only advice is that this tour starts early at 6am and it would be good to schedule a coffee stop some where before the hike starts at Mount Longonot. Thank you everyone at Perfect Wildnerness Tours.
